FINE DESIGNS will be printing tshirts on site!

Fine Designs will have 12-15 different styles and colors of T-shirts, long-sleeved shirts, hooded sweaters, fitted girls shirts, tank tops, etc  The shirts are blank.  Then you will be able to order from about 20-30 different print choices which include tournament design only or design with numbers, list of teams (we will put a star by the team of the owner of the shirts), various phrases such as "girls rule... the field", "pain is temporary, pride is forever", soccer balls, patriotic soccer prints, etc.

You can come to the tshirt tent, pick the style of shirt you like then pick the designs you like and where you want it printed (back, front, hip, sleeve, side, along the edge - anywhere) and they will apply it to the chosen shirt right on the spot instantly. **Email sent to all teams April 29**

This is a message to all teams in the 13th Annual Palm Bay Spring Challenge;

We are excited as we look forward to  a great weekend of soccer.  The weather forecast is for sunny skies and temps ranging from 70 to the mid 80s…. great soccer weather.

At the bottom of this message is the email we sent to teams earlier in April.

Here are some important last minute alerts for all teams

1)      Make sure you have everything you need in good order  for check-in  Use this link for details Forms & Information  for Registered Teams

2)      Tell all the families who are coming to the tournament to go to our web site and check the map and directions links for hotels and game sites.  The time to do that is now, not Saturday morning on the way to the first game

3)      We will be posting results online within a short time after the end of each game.  You can use PDAs Smart Phones, Laptops, or the Computer in the business center of your hotel to get results.  Each site will also have the results for games played there posted on scoreboards on site

4)      We ask every team to be responsible and clean up around their bench area after each of their games

IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO TEAMS PLAYING AT GM - Gemini Flutie fields  Saturday is "Founders Day" in Melbourne Beach.  There is big celebration of the Town’s history.  It may be a nice place to visit between games… BUT… it will generate  a lot of traffic at times.   Plan for at least 15-20 minutes extra for your drive to the fields.   The town of Melbourne Beach is also very strict about speed limits, so if you are late and speed to make up time, expect to be even later

FINE DESIGNS will be printing tshirts on site!  Fine Designs will have 12-15 different styles and colors of T-shirts, long-sleeved shirts, hooded sweaters, fitted girls shirts, tank tops, etc  The shirts are blank.  Then you will be able to order from about 20-30 different print choices which include tournament design only or design with numbers, list of teams (we will put a star by the team of the owner of the shirts), various phrases such as "girls rule... the field", "pain is temporary, pride is forever", soccer balls, patriotic soccer prints, etc.You can come to the tshirt tent at your site, pick the style of shirt you like then pick the designs you like and where you want it printed (back, front, hip, sleeve, side, along the edge - anywhere) and they will apply it to the chosen shirt right on the spot instantly. It usually takes about 1 minute to make the whole shirt and you won't have to come back later. You get the shirt right away!

MAPS TO SITES   We have provided a great set of Maps and Directions to sites as well as field layouts for all sites on our web site.

Please be sure to tell everyone on your team to take advantage of them by going to this page SCHEDULES and Information  and  clicking this link on that page  Maps

PALM BAY REGIONAL PARK FIELD 10 AND 11 ON THE “CRICKET FIELD” – We have 12 fields at the main site, Palm Bay Regional Park.  We are fortunate to have the use of the “Cricket Fields courtesy of the  Brevard Caribbean American Sports and Cultural Association.  The cricket fields have some of the finest turf found anywhere.   There is a separate parking area for the teams playing on Fields 10 and 11.  The Cricket Field is the round area just above the center of this Satellite view of the Complex  Palm Bay Regional Park

Above all, lets remember to keep sportsmanship and fair play as the number 1 priority for the weekend

Message sent to all teams earlier in April

Subject: 13th Annual Palm Bay Spring Challenge May 1/2

This message is to all teams that have  applied to the Palm Bay Spring Challenge, the largest Spring Soccer Tournament in Florida.

We are excited about the great turnout of teams for the Spring Challenge.

Below is the message sent to all teams that were registered early.  This message is to all teams that had submitted applications through this afternoon, April 9.

We are asking all teams to read the information in the letter below and to be sure to address these items

1)      We are already in the process of analyzing entries so we can divide them into Division based on level of play.   Any Age Group with more than 8 entries will have more than  1 Division.  We ask teams to provide as much information about their level of play as possible so that we can use it as we form Divisions.  Many teams have already responded to the first email, and we ask the rest to do so as well.   Please do not say “place us in the 2nd Division” or equivalent.  Give us information about the strength of your team so that we can make a comparison with the rest of the entries

2)      Read the information about the Official Challenge Tournament Hotels.  Teams must stay in  an official Tournament Hotel in order to participate.  This tournament will fill virtually all available hotel rooms in the Melbourne/Palm Bay Area.  If you have not yet booked your rooms,  don’t wait any longer as many hotels are already full.

We know that teams want to stay at a hotel close to where they play.  Unfortunately, because all sites are used by host clubs who have all ages of teams to serve,  every site has a mix of 6v6, 8v8, and 11v11 fields, and because we will fill the available field capacity at our sites, we can not assign age division to sites until we know how many entries we have for each age and field size. Now that we have most of the entries in , with only the last minute teams to come, we are working hard to assign divisions to sites.  As soon as each Division or group is assigned to a site, we will post that information on our web site.

We are looking forward to a great weekend of soccer

Regards,
